Show’s French connection
THE Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show last weekend had some of the best boating products from Australia and from around the world.
One of the overseas imports that made a huge impression was the Beneteau Antares 30S, shown by local distributorJW Marine.
Former Test cricket opener Geoff Marsh, who has been involved in boat sales for several years and is a regular at the Mandurah Boat Show, was on hand to show people over the Antares 30S.
French-based Beneteau has been building boats for more than 120 years and is renowned for vessels that offer pure cruising pleasure and great sea-keeping qualities.
The sleek Antares 30S has a hull length of 9.2m and differs from the Antares 30 in that instead of a flybridge it has a fixed canopy with two large opening panels that provide optimal access for the wheelhouse interior and excellent ventilation for the interior living space.
Marsh said the Antares 30S was all about brilliant design, with the emphasis on maximum comfort.
The exceptionally spacious
The Antares 30S is packed with clever storage solutions for every conceivable need.
It has a progressive planing hull that offers proven performance and a reassuring stability provided by the pronounced forwardVand flared bow shape, with a top speed of 26 knots achievable. Specifications: Beneteau Antares 30S
