Big Kev offered a new home

NT News - - NEWS -

DARWIN’S Essington School has stepped forward as a possible new home for Big Kev the fibreglass brontosaurus.

The NT News yesterday revealed the uncertain future of the Yarrawonga landmark, with plans afoot for hardware giant Bunnings to relocate to the site.

Bunnings remains uncertain about what it will do with the much loved, decade old dinosaur.

Essington School principal David Cannon said Big Kev would be a welcome addition to the school community.

“Our children would be happy to have him here at Essington rather than be homeless,” he said.

Mr Cannon said Big Kev’s weight and age might make it difficult to transport him from Yarrawonga to Nightcliff.

“Bunnings and Tom Finlay may have other options for him.”
