Origliasso fired up at ARIA snub

THE Veronicas’ Jessica Origliasso has hit out at the ARIA awards for snubbing their “LGBT visibility” video for On Your Side which was directed by actor girlfriend Ruby Rose.

The pair rekindled their relationship during the shoot of the video in New Zealand last year. The graphic mini-movie not only showed the intimacy between the two women but also tackled the issues of addiction and domestic violence.

Origliasso accused ARIA of “ego and politics” for not including the video among the 10 nominated clips contesting the Best Video award which will be publicly voted.

Jess and sister Lisa hosted the awards last year which strongly supported the marriage equality campaign before it ramped up this year.

Kylie Minogue and her then fiance Joshua Sasse wore the “Say I Do Down Under” T-shirts on stage.

The Veronicas singer also suggested ARIA would be hypocritical to incorporate any equality themes into this year’s awards on November 28.

“Can’t wait for the EQUALITY theme they push this year, while snubbing the most watched LGBT video of the year,” she wrote.
