Green ripe for Territory Deloitte appointment
DELOITTE has appointed Karen Green as managing partner of its Northern Territory office.
A partner in Deloitte’s Darwin office since 1999, Ms Green has more than 30 years experience in the professional services industry and currently leads the business advisory services and tax businesses in the NT.
She takes over the reins from Hendri Mentz following his relocation to Deloitte’s Perth office to lead their risk advisory business. Deloitte has also announced Terri Hart as a director in Deloitte’s advisory practice.
Ms Hart joins Deloitte following a 37-year career in the public service including serving as a uniformed police officer and later a detective for more than a decade.
She has lived in the Territory for nearly 40 years and has extensive networks across both the public and private sectors.
Her other public service roles include the Department of Justice, Department of the Chief Minister, and Department of Trade, Business and Innovation.
Deloitte managing partner markets, Pete Forrester, said both women had a strong commitment to the Territory.
“Karen’s appointment as managing partner, Northern Territory adds an exciting new dimension to our Darwin and Alice Springs practices and I’m really pleased to have someone of her calibre in the role,” he said. “We have a strong local team dedicated to supporting local businesses, government and the NT community, and Karen will enable us to respond to the growth opportunities we see in this region.
“Terri is highly respected in the NT and brings a wealth of experience to Deloitte’s Darwin office.
“Her deep knowledge of the public and private sectors gives her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our clients.”
