Solomon MHR David Toll­ner last night in­sisted a 24-health health clinic would open in Palmer­ston, but Fed­eral Health Min­is­ter Tony Ab­bott yes­ter­day could not prom­ise Palmer­ston would get one of 50 clin­ics to be built around the coun­try.

20 YEARS AGO:

Work­ers were stunned yes­ter­day by the NT Gov­ern­ment’s shock de­ci­sion to dis­band Yu­lara Town Coun­cil. The de­ci­sion was made af­ter the NT gov­ern­ment sold Ay­ers Rock re­sort to the Cen­tral Prop­erty Trust for $220 mil­lion sev­eral weeks ago.

25 YEARS AGO:

Quar­ter of a cen­tury of ser­vice ded­i­cated to the health of Ter­ri­tory chil­dren has been ap­plauded with an award pre­sen­ta­tion to Dar­win doc­tor Alan Court­ney Walker.
