Babies have always been on the brain for Lady Gaga, who once revealed, “I really want to have a family and I really want to nurture my children and inspire [them].”

And coming from a big Italian brood only made Mother Monster long to be a, er, mother to “at least three” children, she says.

But in her new documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, the singer, 31, admits she now has trepidation over carrying a baby, due to her fibromyalgia, a musculoskeletal disorder that causes pain throughout the body.

“I know I think I can get pregnant, but what are my hips going to do?” asks Gaga, who’s been dating talent agent Christian Carino for eight months. And it seems Gaga’s concerns are valid. “The average woman with fibromyalgia will notice a significant increase in her pain [during her pregnancy],” explains retired chronic pain specialist Dr Kevin P White.

“This is especially true over the last few months and particularly in the low back and hip areas.” Stay strong, babe!

‘I just want to go on tour and have a family,’ Gaga tearfully confesses to the doctor
