Three days af­ter ac­cept­ing her gong at Glam­our mag’s Women of the Year Awards in New York on Novem­ber 13, Gigi Ha­did an­nounced on Twit­ter that she’d dropped out of the up­com­ing Vic­to­ria’s Se­cret Fash­ion Show – which takes place in Shang­hai, China this week. Sources first claimed that it was due to the back­lash Gi, 22, re­cently re­ceived over a seem­ingly racist joke to­wards Asians. With this year’s show set in China, there were calls for VS to sack the star. How­ever, our in­sider says that’s not the whole story. “She’s been work­ing her­self into the ground lately and des­per­ately needed a break,” says a Ha­did pal. ““She has got ac a chronic hea health a con­di­tion [Ha [Hashimoto’s dis dis­ease] s re­mem­ber, an and n she didn’t feel co con­fi­dent o she’d ha have a enough st strength t to get th through h the show.”
