CONSPIRACY THEORY —

MEGA-CUBE DODGE DART

just getting away and spending time with friends. After speaking to a number of campers, we learnt that about the only downer of the event — if you can call it that — is the weather. It’s either wet and raining or too hot — a small price to pay for such a great weekend. Having attended MCM myself for many years, I found this year’s event far more laid-back, with bigger numbers and a better quality of cars. Thursday night’s main street party was a roaring success, but, for me, the highlight of Trillo Metals MCM 2018 had to be the burnouts, thanks in no small part to the great local drivers and the Kiwi Carnage team of Arnie Donaldson’s ‘LOLIFE’ XC Falcon ute, Ian Smith’s ‘SAMBOS’ Mazda RX-7, and Liz and Ryan Gracie’s ‘EV1L 69’ Camaro, fresh from their trip to Summernats in Aussie. If you’ve never been to MCM, then do yourself a favour and don’t miss next year’s event — you won’t regret it.
