Country capers

Over the years that I have been reading Old Bike Australasia I have enjoyed the Tracks In Time articles. I have wondered on many occasions if you would ever have an article on the Wambanumba circuit at Young in NSW, so it was very pleasing to see the great write up in OBA60 on that track. As a youngster I was raised in Cootamundra on the South West slopes of NSW. From here I travelled to many bike races around the area including Woodstock near Cowra, West Wyalong (think it was The Pines), Meemar just out of Cootamundra, Bathurst and one of my favourites was the Wambanumba track. I actually still have a programme from one of the meetings there when my cousin Danny Hill was racing. Danny also hailed from Cootamundra.
