Dave Bancell is on the hunt for his old Yamaha TZ750. “I once had the ex- John Williams “Appleby Glade” TZ750D. It was restored after John Williams’ (fatal) crash in Ireland in 1978, by John Newbold and Pete Spinks (John Williams’ mechanic). The bike was also owned by Dave Orton (Mr Appleby Glade) who I still keep contact with. I sold it in 2002 and I have been looking to relocate it with a view to buy back. I sold the TZ750D in 2002 to a Jason Vade, who owned Blue & Green Tour Services, and I shipped the bike to 46 Caville Ave Surfers Paradise, Queensland. The phone and email I have are no longer active. I believe that this person who I was dealing with was acting as an “agent” for a collector in Queensland, but they never divulged the name of this collector and I remember they said “he” wanted to remain anonymous, but I had a feeling it was the guy who had the display in Hamilton Island (Keith Williams), but that could be incorrect. If anyone can help me track down the Yamaha I would appreciate it. I can be contacted on 0414 183 298 or email davidban69@gmail.com
