It’s Ken not Kenny

Old Bike Australasia - - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR -

I refer to the proposed ‘Kenny Blake Festival of Motorcycling’ which is reportedly happening in Strathalbyn in October. It’s known that every person who went to school, and trade school, and joined Ken Blake in enterprise and raced with him always knew him as Ken, or ‘Blakey’. Ken hated being called Kenny. The familiar diminutive of his name is unsuitable for a gentleman, and any reference to Ken as ‘Kenny’ in any way does not have the sanction of The Friends Of Ken Blake. Any activity using the name ‘Kenny’ has no support from the Ken Blake Foundation.
