Red Dust Revival

Old Bike Australasia - - OUT’N’ABOUT -

From 12-16 September, 2019, motorcycles and cars will converge on ‘Perko’, 25km from Kalgoorlie, the ring of red clay that first hosted motor racing in 1914 and closed in 1939. Perko is claimed to be the oldest circuit in the world that is still in its original state. The track’s centenary was celebrated in 2014. Just like in the old days, competitors and spectators can camp at the track, and drinking water and toilet facilities will be provided. The five-day celebration will include demonstration runs for Pre-war bikes and cars under the control of Motorcycling WA and CAMS. For more information email Graeme Cocks or Greg Eastwood at perkolillimc@gmail.com
