Many re­sorts pro­vide won­der­ful pro­grams, lessons, gear, lifts and in­clu­sive pro­grams for chil­dren and adults with cog­ni­tive, sight/ hear­ing and/or phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties. Steam­boat’s S.T.A.R.S is a fully-in­clu­sive pro­gram for chil­dren with spe­cial needs from 5 to15 years, and in­cludes ac­tiv­i­ties that al­low the whole fam­ily to have fun to­gether. Whistler has an ex­ten­sive adap­tive pro­gram for kids aged 6 years and over, across ski­ing and snow­board­ing, and Big White Adap­tive Snows­ports’ cer­ti­fied in­struc­tors en­sure every­body can have fun on the slopes.
