Bouddi Na­tional Park

Where: Cen­tral Coast About: From beaches and steep cliffs through to rain­for­est and heath­land Bouddi Na­tional Park is home to count­less at­trac­tions, in­clud­ing one of Aus­tralia’s first marine pro­tected ar­eas, sig­nif­i­cant Abo­rig­i­nal sites, unique an­i­mals and plant life and even an old pad­dle steamer wreck. Dor­rigo Na­tional Park

Where: Near Coffs Har­bour About: Part of the Gond­wana Rain­forests of Aus­tralia World Her­itage Area, the park con­tains a range of for­est types, some mil­lions of years old. Spot red-necked pademel­ons, the vi­brant­ly­coloured wom­poo fruit-dove and the spec­tac­u­lar re­gent bower­bird on rain­for­est walks, and re­lax with a pic­nic or bbq at any one of the beau­ti­ful, scenic oases within the park. Myall Lakes Na­tional Park

Where: Near Newcastle About: Fea­tur­ing one of the largest coastal lake sys­tems in NSW, the park pro­vides end­less swim­ming, surf­ing, kayak­ing, boat­ing and fish­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties across more than 40km of beaches. Camp­ing: YES na­tion­al­ Myall-Lakes-Na­tional-Park

Bar­ring­ton Tops Na­tional Park

Where: North Hunter Re­gion About: Also form­ing part of the Gond­wana Rain­forests of Aus­tralia World Her­itage Area, the park is a bush­walker’s par­adise with lots of pic­nic and bar­be­cue ar­eas, cy­cling trails and look­outs. Camp­ing: YES na­tion­al­ Bar­ring­ton-Tops-Na­tional-Park

Hat Head Na­tional Park

Where: Mid north coast Ma­cleay re­gion About: Close to Kempsey and beau­ti­ful South West Rocks, this nat­u­ral par­adise is re­plete with beaches, sand dunes, rain­for­est and wet­lands and is home to amaz­ing bird life in­clud­ing black swans, spoon­bills, hawks, ea­gles, curlews and plovers.
