The ‘Emerald City of Oz’ welcomes a Princess!
For the first time, the biggest ship in the Princess Cruises fleet – the spectacular 3082-guest Emerald Princess – will be based Down Under, sailing into the ‘Emerald City’ of Sydney on 15 November, ahead of her five-month long maiden season in Oz. (Sydney earned the nickname ‘Emerald City of Oz’, from the 1987 David Williamson play ‘Emerald City’) Stretching 290m, Emerald Princess features more than 1500 guest rooms, and every one of them boasts the new ‘Princess Luxury Bed’ for the ultimate sleep at sea!
Kids and teens will be constantly entertained onboard, with age-appropriate ‘centres’ featuring the latest video games and movies, arts and crafts, board games and jukeboxes, kids’ karaoke, pizza parties, pyjama nights and more. Mums and dads can enjoy the kid-free ‘Sanctuary’, and luxurious Lotus Spa, and dine out at SHARE by Curtis Stone, a stunning 125-seat restaurant with a mouth-watering menu designed by the awardwinning chef.
But Emerald Princess won’t have much time to enjoy her Emerald City home port during her debut 2016/2017 season, with 13 round-trip cruises scheduled from Sydney, to destinations in the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia.
