July 6, Beech­worth LONG LUNCH, LONG TA­BLE: In­digo Vine­yard are start­ing a se­ries of lunches at the Cel­lar Door.

If you are in the area, or want to visit, join them for a for a leisurely af­ter­noon at the cel­lar door.

You will be wel­comed with a glass of wine, then Sally Lynch from Taste Trekkers will serve lov­ingly pre­pared share plates at the long ta­ble. In­digo Vine­yard’s pas­sions are wine and lamb, so you can guess what will be the ‘hero’ on the plate.

You will be served a wine to match the main dish and other drinks in­clud­ing lo­cal beer and soft drinks are avail­able at cel­lar door prices.

Us­ing their own lamb makes this an au­then­tic pad­dock to plate meal and ev­ery­thing pos­si­ble will be sourced lo­cally.

Af­ter the main, you will be taken on a guided tour of the prop­erty farm.

This will be a lazy af­ter­noon start­ing at 12:30pm and end­ing around 4:00pm.

The Yackan­dan­dah Pro­duce Swap of­fers beau­ti­ful fresh gar­den pro­duce to be swapped or pur­chased. Meet some of the amaz­ing lo­cals and tap into their knowledge.

Pro­duce starts rolling in at 9:30am and fin­ishes around 11:00am. July 21, Chiltern JAM SES­SION: This week­end of jam ses­sions will fea­ture a blend of ac­com­plished mu­si­cians and those be­gin­ning their jam­ming ca­reers. It is a great op­por­tu­nity to drop in, meet other mu­si­cians, blow your heart out on your favourite tune or kick back and lis­ten in. There are six venues for six gen­res of mu­sic, take your pick. Mu­si­cians of any stan­dard are wel­come – mu­sic stu­dents, gig­ging mu­si­cians, am­a­teurs of all per­sua­sions, pro­fes­sion­als hav­ing a night off, and even pro­fes­sion­als hav­ing an off night. July 29, Beech­worth KER­FERD ORA­TION: This year’s Ker­ferd Ora­tion is to be de­liv­ered by North­ern Ter­ri­tory Se­na­tor Malarndirri McCarthy. Se­na­tor McCarthy is a Yanyuwa woman from the Gulf coun­try in the North­ern Ter­ri­tory. She first en­tered the pub­lic sphere as a jour­nal­ist with the ABC and more re­cently for SBS/ NITV. With a fo­cus on bring­ing com­mu­ni­ties to­gether and en­sur­ing re­mote com­mu­ni­ties are en­gaged with and lis­tened to, Se­na­tor McCarthy wants to en­cour­age all Aus­tralians to be bold and brave to de­velop a united vi­sion for Aus­tralia.
