How to... Make a floral trio card
Celebrate a birthday in style with this dainty design
1 Using watercolour card, make a 14.5cm card blank and a 14cm panel. Create a background on the panel with a wet paintbrush and blue shades 61 and 66 and green shade 50.
2 Allow the panel to dry thoroughly. Using the sprig of leaves, stamp and emboss the bottom right corner of the panel using Versamark ink and white embossing powder.
3 Using the other sprig in the Floribunda set, stamp and emboss a few sprigs into the top left corner of the panel using Versamark ink and white embossing powder.
4 Using a fine paintbrush and shade 50, paint into and around the leaves in the bottom right corner. Then use another green, shade 51, to paint around the sprigs in the top left corner.
5 Stamp and emboss two large flowers, one small flower, three large leaves and two small leaves with Versamark and white embossing powder. Stamp the sentiment using black ink and trim.
6 Paint the flowers and leaves using 40, 33 and 31 for the orange flower, 42, 37 and 61 for the pink flower, 42, 64 and 38 for the blue flower and 51 and 52 for the leaves. Cut out with scissors.
7 Stamp and emboss a few tiny flower heads in the blank areas using Versamark and Kaleidoscope embossing powder. Attach the panel to the card, then add the elements. Finish with gems.
