How to... Make a shaped card

Take your de­signs to the next level by die-cut­ting an in­tri­cately shaped card blank and panel

1 Us­ing wa­ter­colour card, make a shaped top-fold blank with the largest die and a shaped panel us­ing the sec­ond largest.

2 Cre­ate a back­ground on the shaped panel us­ing blue and green paint. Al­low to dry, then stamp and em­boss the sprig us­ing Ver­samark and white em­boss­ing pow­der, as shown.

3 Stamp and em­boss a large flower, two small flow­ers and some large and small leaves on wa­ter­colour card us­ing Ver­samark and white em­boss­ing pow­der. Stamp the sen­ti­ment with black ink and cut out.

4 Paint the em­bossed flow­ers and leaves. Cut out with scis­sors when dry. Paint around the em­bossed sprigs on the panel us­ing light green paint and a fine paint­brush.

5 Sprin­kle the panel with em­boss­ing enamel, then heat. Mount on the card and add the el­e­ments. Fin­ish with gems.
