Create a sweet box and fill with fortune cookies for friends and loved ones

Think outside the box this Valentine’s Day — by creating a box! Inspired by a Chinese takeaway carton, this super-cute decorative gift box is easy to make from a sheet of 12x12in paper, and makes an original alternative to a standard card.

Continuing with the theme, you can then fill your gift box with lots of pretty paper fortune cookies. Have fun writing a number of messages to your loved one to slip inside the cookies, stack them inside the box and look forward to seeing your loved one’s face as they open it on Valentine’s Day – they’ll love reading all of your special sentiments!

As well as a wonderful Valentine’s gift, you could also make this papercraft set to celebrate an anniversary. It will make a lovely birthday present for a friend or family member, too, or even Mother’s Day — especially if you know that the recipient is a real fan of Chinese food!
