How to... Craft a top-class card

A corgi and gin­ger tom take cen­tre stage in this cute card

Print and cut a piece of lawn pa­per, mea­sur­ing 12.5x12.5cm, and use dou­ble-sided sticky tape to layer it onto pur­ple card, leav­ing a small bor­der all the way around the edge. Print and cut out the foun­tain, leav­ing a small white bor­der around the edge. Use sticky foam pads to at­tach it to the card panel, po­si­tion­ing it 0.5cm up from the bot­tom of the printed panel. Print and cut out two flow­er­pots and two topi­ary trees. Use tape to stick one tree and one plant ei­ther side of the foun­tain – use sticky foam pads to stick down the oth­ers, to add depth. Print and cut out the ta­bles and chairs. At­tach to the card, on top of the foun­tain, us­ing sticky foam pads. You are start­ing to build your English coun­try gar­den scene... Cut out the dog and cat, add sticky foam pads to the back of the fig­ures, then place them on the chairs, as shown. Use small craft scis­sors to cut neatly around the de­tail. Cut out the ‘top class mum’ sen­ti­ment, leav­ing a white bor­der all the way around the edge, then at­tach to the top cen­tre of the card, us­ing sticky foam pads.

At­tach the whole card panel to a square white card blank, us­ing sticky foam pads. Use craft tweez­ers to neatly po­si­tion six ad­he­sive pearls to the corners, as shown, to fin­ish.
