The View Club (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) will hold their Dinner Meeting at Panthers Penrith on May 15. Arrive 7pm for 7.30pm. The evening features a threecourse meal. Cost: $28. Meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the John Lees Centre, at 10am. Morning tea and a guest speaker each meeting. There are bus trips at regular intervals and one per year for a week away. My Choice Matters will be running a workshop for people with disabilities, their families and carers in Springwood on Tuesday May 2. The workshop will focus on how to get the most out of life and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The session will be facilitated by Mel Schlaeger. My Choice Matters is an independent organisation working with people with a disability. The workshop runs 10am-2.30pm, at Springwood Sports Club, 83 Macquarie Rd, Springwood. One day workshop presented by Margie Braunstein, a senior facilitator with the Quest for Life Foundation. The workshop is tailored to people living with cancer and their carers and will invite participants to explore the importance of self-care while learning practical strategies for creating resilience and peace in the face of living with cancer.
