POCKET ROCKET

Performance Vauxhall - - PVS 2018 -

Brian Dallison’s superb Corsa E gets better every time we see it, primarily due to his determination to update and upgrade every aspect of the Vauxhall pocket rocket, a VXR he’s owned from new. “I bought the car in 2016,” he says. “I absolutely loved the model’s seats and recognised the Corsa E as one of the best newest Vauxhalls to play with when it comes to modifying.” He’s proved the point by allowing various respected aftermarket tuning equipment suppliers to use the car as a development tool enabling the design and manufacture of parts available to all. For example, Brian’s Corsa is one of the first cars to make use of EBC’s much talked about Apollo big brake system. Other cool kit includes a three-inch turbo-back Scorpion exhaust, AP Racing coilovers, Bola B1 wheels, Nankang black circles, CM Composites canards, a matching front splitter, a Russ White gauge pod, bonnet vents and custom vinyl applied by Venom Wraps highlighting Brian’s sponsorship from energy drinks company, Xcite Racing. “I’m aiming for 400bhp,” he reveals, pointing out JS Performance silicone hoses, an Enhance Performance intake and a Ramair air filter before telling us he’s added Piper camshafts, a bigger turbocharger and 600cc fuel injectors to his ever-lengthening shopping list. Expect to see the car in these pages again soon!
