The con­tin­u­ous shoot­ing speed of a DSLR, which en­ables a se­quence of images to be taken in rapid suc­ces­sion, mea­sured in frames per sec­ond (fps). The rate is only sus­tained for a cer­tain num­ber of shots, and is dic­tated by the size of the buf­fer; eg the Canon 7D Mk II will shoots at 10fps for 31 Raw images.
