Why does Lightroom display pictures taken with the monochrome picture style in colour?

Brian Says… When you shoot Raw images, Lightroom simply sees raw data, and doesn’t take notice of the style, so the photos are processed and displayed in colour. The latest version of Lightroom Classic has a goodlooking monochrome profile, or you use the black and white adjustment tools to individually adjust the how the colours are converted to monochrome.
