The West Pilbara Mudcrabs Football Club has received a boost with Bankwest coming on board as its major sponsor.

A $1000 Bankwest grant was awarded to the Karratha-based masters football team to buy new jumpers. Mudcrabs player and Bankwest employee David Burke was the man responsible for organising the funding.

Bankwest head of community engagement Craig Spencer said he was “thrilled” to have the opportunity to present the grant — in the form of a cheque — in person in Karratha recently.

Mr Spencer said Bankwest grants were available for organisations such as local schools, sporting clubs and emergency services.
