If you’re a be­gin­ner in­ter­ested in learn­ing more about writ­ing, head along to the Kar­ratha Public Li­brary for tips and tricks from suc­cess­ful Aus­tralian chil­dren’s book au­thor David Caddy.

A teacher in his spare time, Caddy says he writes for fun and is con­stantly on the look­out for new ideas and story con­cepts.

His most pop­u­lar books in­clude Whammy, Smash and Wacko, along­side The Bear Col­lec­tion and Sabotage.

Come along and get in­sight into what makes for a good story and how you can start your au­thor­ing jour­ney.

A free sausage siz­zle will also be avail­able to keep you nour­ished as you dive into the world of writ­ing.

This Writer’s Work­shop will take place on Thurs­day, Au­gust 27, from 5-6.30pm. It is free to at­tend. The evening is lim­ited to just 50 peo­ple, how­ever, and book­ings are es­sen­tial.

The Kar­ratha Public Li­brary is lo­cated at the Pil­bara In­sti­tute on Dampier High­way, Kar­ratha.
