Karratha and Districts Junior Soccer Association is almost at the end of the season and another cracking weekend of games on Saturday afternoon highlighted the competitiveness of the league.

Teams were greeted by a typical sunny day at a busy Karratha Leisureplex for the third-last round of the regular season.

In the 13s age group, the first game saw Salt play Nickol 1 in what was a very close affair.

Nickol 1 ran out winners with a 1-0 margin in a competitive match.

The next game saw Nickol 2 play Wickham in the first of several highscoring matches.

Nickol 2 proved too strong for Wick- ham, recording a comfortable 7-1 victory.

The Nickol 4 players were on song in their game against Dampier, recording an emphatic 12-0 win.

In the last match of the round, Nickol 3 had plenty of opportunities in front of goals to defeat Glory 4-0.

In the 18s age group, the early game saw Salt take on Nickol 1.

This was a game of missed opportunities for both teams, but Salt were able to take the win 3-0 after a stronger first half.

In the late game, Glory proved too strong for Nickol 2 in a high-scoring affair. Glory piled on six goals to Nickol 2’s one.

With two rounds of the home and away season left before the finals, play-off places are still up for grabs in both age groups.
