The second last round of the home and away season of the Karratha District Junior Soccer competition was played on Saturday.

In the under-13s age group, the first game saw Glory play Dampier and despite the efforts of Dampier, Glory proved too strong in an 11-nil rout.

A tight match between Nickol 4 and 1 followed which Nickol 4 came out of on top with 2-nil.

In the last game of the morning Salt played Nickol 2.

This was a very entertaining game with Nickol 2 getting the first goal before Salt struck back to level the game.

It was then a see-saw game of attack and defence, with the two teams battling it out for a befitting 1-all draw.

In the afternoon match at Wickham, the local side, took on Nickol 3.

Despite the efforts of Wickham, the visitors were too strong, with Nickol 3 running out comfortable 7-1 winners. In the under-18s age group, the early game saw Nickol 2 take on Salt.

In a match that could have gone either way, Salt came out on top, winning 3-2.

Glory then took on Dampier in the late game.

In what was a close game won by Glory, it was the efforts of the Dampier goal keeper who made some excellent saves to keep the score to 3-nil.

Next week sees the last round of the home and away fixtures for the season.
