The City of Karratha has granted a two-year extension to the redevelopment of Harding River Caravan Park in Roebourne.
The redevelopment was originally given the green light in September 2011 and granted an extension in 2013, but is yet to progress.
It would see new amenities, staff housing and accommodation blocks, upgrades to the shop, more parking bays and the potential construction of a 296-bed transient workforce accommodation camp.
The council noted it was unlikely the TWA camp would be constructed due to lack of demand.
The TWA camp is still limited to a 10-year approved use period from the original approval in 2011.
