The last round of the home and away season for the under-13s and 18s Karratha District Junior Soccer competition took place on Saturday and there were a number of high-quality matches played.

The last game of the morning saw Glory play Nickol 1.
There was nothing between the two teams at half-time but an errant pass saw Nickol 1 put the first of their two goals into the net to take the win despite Glory fighting to the end.
In the afternoon match, Nickol 2 took on Dampier at Dampier.
Nickol 2 made the best of the strong wind to run out 8-nil winners and hold down third spot.
In the under-18s age group the early game saw Nickol 1 face Dampier at Dampier.
Despite the blustery conditions, Nickol 1 took a good lead into halftime and went on to extend their lead early in the second half. The game then turned and Dampier fought their way back to draw the match 5-all at the death.
The two grand finalists Glory and Salt met in the last home and away match of the season and again it was an exciting game of soccer until the end.
Despite dominating the first half, Salt took the narrowest of leads into the half-time break.
In the second half, Glory started to have more of the play but left it until the last few minutes of the match to score the equaliser and hold off a determined Salt outfit for a 1-all draw.
The under-13s finals kick off this Saturday from 3pm followed by the under-18s at 6.30pm.
