Teams gear up for the finals
The competition is heating up one week out from the Karratha Netball Association finals, with the top four spots secured in division 1 last week.
Despite the Blades’ 58-33 win over the Bullets, it wasn’t enough to send them into the finals next week.
The Thunderbolts, Neilson Cougars, Bullets and Tequiras have all secured their places in the top four.
In division 2, the Thunderbolts wiped the floor with a 50-19 win over the KADs.
Tequiras Green were defeated by teammates Tequiras Black, 42-28.
The final round next week will determine who will head into the finals, with three teams fighting it out to get the coveted final spot.
In division 3, strong performances from the Panthers, Thunderbolts 5, Komets and Thunderbolts 4 will see them head into a semifinal clash next week.
In division 4, the Thunderbolts defeated the Blades in a nailbiter, 37-34. The Panthers won their game against the Tequiras, 26-15.
Next week, the Mojitos and Thunderbolts will fight it out in division 4, to determine who takes second position on the final leaderboard.
In division 5, two games were forfeited, however the Bush Chooks won convincingly against the Tequiras and look strong to take out top spot on the ladder.
In the under-14s, the KADs defeated the Panthers, 32-25.
Tequiras 14s drew with the KAD 12s, 24-24.
In the under-10s, the Neilson Cougars dominated, defeating the Reckers, 36-2.
The junior and senior grand finals will be hosted at the Karratha Leisureplex on September 25-26.
Presentations for best and fairest awards will take place on September 18.
