More than 2500 competitors, residents and tourists flocked last week to the dusty red Pannawonica rodeo grounds, which sprang to life for the 20th Robe River Rodeo celebrations.

This year’s camp draft and rodeo, which went across three days, featured plenty of spills and a strong contingent of local jackaroos making their mark in the competition.

The saddle bronc went to the 2014 winner from Onslow, Brock Harris, with an outstanding 74point ride.

The station buck jump was won by Yalleen jackaroo Donald Percy, who scored 73 points for his impressive ride.

Laurence Oversby won the allround cowboy title, after an impressive performance across the board in the steer wrestling, team roping and saddle bronc ride.

Young up-and-comer Jeremy Green dominated both the under-18 juvenile and open steer rides.
