Students jump for Heart Foundation
■ The Pilbara’s premier performance skipping team, the Burrup Bouncers, raised funds for the Heart Foundation in the Big Jump Off at Pegs Creek Primary School this month.
Pegs Creek Primary teacher Jillian Tarca said the annual Jump Rope for Heart event was an important part of building community spirit and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“The Heart Foundation promotes healthy living and at Pegs Creek Primary School, we do too,” she said.
“The Big Jump Off was a huge success … with students from Years 1-6 learning new skills, being active and having lots of fun.
“The team trained weekly before school.
“A huge thank you to all staff who really got involved today, and especially to Miss Andrew, who helped me co-ordinate the event for our school.”
