Pilbara News - - Education - Courtney Fowler

■ For the first time in the region’s history, all five Pilbara high schools gathered at an inter-school athletics carnival hosted at Clem Thompson Oval in Tom Price last month.

Students from Newman Senior High School, Hedland Senior High School, Karratha Senior High School, Tom Price Senior High School and St Luke’s College competed in the event.

Tom price health and physical education teacher Annette Wilson said all students showed excellent sportsmanship, enthusiasm and positivity throughout the day.

“Long jump was held on the Thursday evening at Tom Price Senior High School as a twilight event,” she said.

“The final result came down to the relays.”
