Crackdown on town’s rowdies
Local police and rangers are working together to crack down on antisocial and inappropriate behaviour in Newman.
Authorities have installed several signs around the town centre and shopping precinct which detail what are unacceptable behaviours.
As part of the crackdown, Shire manager for community safety Paul Dickson said rangers would accompany regular police foot patrols around the town centre at peak antisocial behaviour times.
Mr Dickson said repeat offenders could be barred from the reserves for up to 12 months.
