Karijini to focus on family-friendly activities
Dates have been announced for next year’s Karijini Experience, which will be held over eight days from April 15 to 22.
Key events across the week will include a culinary experience, opera in the gorge and the captivating moonrise makers market and lounge, where handmade wares and music will be combined with the magic of a full moon rising on April 22.
Pilbara Inland Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairwoman Sarah Kemp said the Karijini Experience was a celebration of our culture, people and place.
“We believe passionately in creating a positive future and central to this is providing our children with the opportunity to connect with and learn about the importance of these things,” she said.
“The 2016 Karijini Experience is being held in the April school holidays, which will see greater focus on events and activities that are kid and family friendly… with a program that will allow people to experience this magnificent location in unexpected ways, immersing themselves in the landscape, the culture and the many sensual joys of the region.”
