Fal­cons re­ward top per­for­mances

Af­ter a rough sea­son, Kar­ratha Fal­cons man­aged to celebrate their mile­stones and achieve­ments this month at their club awards night.

The 2015 pre­sen­ta­tion night was held at the Frank But­ler Pav­il­ion with more than 80 spon­sors, sup­port­ers, mem­bers and play­ers at­tend­ing.

Ruck­man Vic­tor Bel­lotti was named league fairest and best, even though he missed five weeks of the sea­son through an in­jury.

New­comer Trent Sawyer was the re­serves’ best and fairest.

He was re­cruited into the club af­ter be­ing stalked in the su­per­mar­ket by the league coach and then con­vinced into play­ing for the Fal­cons.

Brian “Truckie” Neill was awarded club­man of the year.

Neill was avail­able to do any task around the club, from set­ting up to run­ning wa­ter, and was a de­serv­ing win­ner of the award.

He said he was hon­oured to ac­cept the award and it was like a big fam­ily to be a part of the Fal­cons football club.

Brett McCor­mack and Michael For­man­cyzk were named new life mem­bers of the club. Both have played more than 170 games for the club and played ju­nior football for the Fal­cons.

Shaun Sul­li­van, 150 games, and Brett Davey, 100 games, were awarded medals for achiev­ing their game to­tal mile­stones.

The Fal­cons will hold their com­mit­tee an­nual gen­eral meet­ing on Novem­ber 7 at the Recre­ation Club at 10.30am.
