Impressive acts head to Roebourne
■ TAHLfest is returning to Roebourne next month to empower the community and encourage healthy living choices through music.
Now in its second year, TAHLfest is a drug and alcohol-free event designed to send a positive message of healthy living through free medical checks, cooking and health demonstrations and giveaways.
Hosted by comedian Andy Saunders and headlined by former Australian Idol winner Stan Walker, TAHLfest will bring an impressive array of local and national acts to Roebourne.
Performers include 2015 The Voice finalist Scott Newnham, cultural dances and stories by the young Noongar performers from Hampton High School, along with performances by local acts Nic & Hemi and What Now!
TALHfest is an initiative of the Mawarnkarra Health Service.
Mawarnkarra takes a holistic approach to health care delivery programs that are designed not just to address the curative needs of the individual but also to improve the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional and cultural wellbeing of the Aboriginal communities in our region.
TAHLfest will be held on Friday, October 30 from 4.30pm at the Roebourne School Oval.
