■ The REAF launch street party returned for a second year to open the Red Earth Arts Festival, beginning the 10-day arts program for 2015.

The popular event featured roving street performers, live music, a market and food in a family-friendly evening on a closed off Sharpe Avenue.

A pair of fire twirlers added some heat to the night, amazing the audience by swallowing fire.

Festivities followed throughout the week, with Blues by the Bay, the Faulty Towers Dining Experience, REAF Voices, REAF Junior and REAF Fusion.

The festival wrapped up over the weekend with REAF After Dark and REAF Recovery.
