Saints re­ceive funds for mats

■ The Kar­ratha Bik­ers As­so­ci­a­tion do­nated more than $2000 of much-needed equip­ment to the Saints Chris­tian Mo­tor­cy­cle Club in Roe­bourne last week.

The do­na­tion bought the club new in­ter­lock­ing floor mats for the Muay Thai com­mu­nity classes hosted ev­ery week at the Saints Clu­b­rooms.

The classes are run by fit­ness and fight train­ing in­struc­tor Brett Marsh, who has more than 23 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the art of tra­di­tional Muay Thai, com­bat train­ing and ring­side as­sis­tance.

Saints CMC Roe­bourne pres­i­dent Ranz Hi­naki said the club was ex­tremely grate­ful for KBA’s on­go­ing sup­port and giv­ing at­ti­tude to­wards lo­cal com­mu­nity groups.

“The Saints have re­ally grown to love the mo­tor­cy­cle com­mu­nity in the Pil­bara,” he said,

“Spe­cial thanks also goes to Wazza from Re­gal Trans­port, who of­fered their ser­vices to trans­port all the equip­ment from Perth to Kar­ratha for free.”

Muay Thai classes run ev­ery Wed­nes­day at 7pm and boot camp ses­sions run weekly from Mon­day to Wed­nes­day at 5.30pm at the club rooms next to the Pil­bara Abo­rig­i­nal Church. Boot camp en­try is a gold coin do­na­tion.
