Saints receive funds for mats
■ The Karratha Bikers Association donated more than $2000 of much-needed equipment to the Saints Christian Motorcycle Club in Roebourne last week.
The donation bought the club new interlocking floor mats for the Muay Thai community classes hosted every week at the Saints Clubrooms.
The classes are run by fitness and fight training instructor Brett Marsh, who has more than 23 years of experience in the art of traditional Muay Thai, combat training and ringside assistance.
Saints CMC Roebourne president Ranz Hinaki said the club was extremely grateful for KBA’s ongoing support and giving attitude towards local community groups.
“The Saints have really grown to love the motorcycle community in the Pilbara,” he said,
“Special thanks also goes to Wazza from Regal Transport, who offered their services to transport all the equipment from Perth to Karratha for free.”
Muay Thai classes run every Wednesday at 7pm and boot camp sessions run weekly from Monday to Wednesday at 5.30pm at the club rooms next to the Pilbara Aboriginal Church. Boot camp entry is a gold coin donation.
