Big week­end brings fun for all ages

The an­nual Wick­ham com­mu­nity cel­e­bra­tion is back for 2015, with a big week­end of fun on Oc­to­ber 23 and 24.

Catch the celebrity cricket match and twi­light mar­kets from 6pm at Wick­ham Oval this Fri­day, along­side the Wick­ham Cit­i­zen of the Year awards, de­li­cious food and drink stalls, rides for kids of all ages and face paint­ing.

On Satur­day night head along to the Wick­ham Pic­ture Gar­dens from 6.30pm and see Boom Crash Opera per­form live.

This Aus­tralian pop rock band, formed in 1985, will have you mov­ing along to hits like Onion Skin, Great Wall, Hands up in the Air and Gimme.

Some amaz­ing sup­port­ing acts will also take to the stage.

The con­cert is an 18+ event, tick­ets are $20 each and avail­able from the Roe­bourne Vis­i­tor Cen­tre or on­line at www.kar­ratha.wa.gov.au/ events.
