Kats beat Crabs to make final
The Karratha Kats booked their spot in the Twenty20 final with a threewicket victory over the Pegs Creek Crabs last weekend.
Sent in to bat, the Crabs lost Brett Saunders (3) to a run-out early.
Harrison Attard (30) and Daniel Carse (33) joined up to steady the ship with a 70-run partnership.
The staunch innings came at the cost of the run rate as both batsmen struggled to break some tidy bowling.
Michael James (0-9), Warwick Durack (0-13) and Craig Ford (0-14) pegged the Crabs on their crease as they struggled to 4-112 from their 20 overs.
The Kats were off to a fast start through opener Patrick Richards (33), but the Crabs kept coming with wickets down the other end.
After Richards departed, wickets kept falling, but the scoreboard kept ticking over.
James (10) and Peter Anderson (4) guided the Kats across the line in the 18th over.
