Residents bare all for 2016
■ Tom Price locals have gone full monty for a nude photo shoot which will pin them in the flesh on fellow residents’ walls and in their offices next year.
The 2016 tasteful nude calendar features several residents stripped bare and covering their private parts with items such as bus doors, footballs and motorbikes.
They were made as a fun way to raise money for a disabled unisex bathroom and parenting room at the Mountain View Sports Club.
More than $7000 was raised on the launch evening late last month and a further $7500 will be added to the total if all 500 calendars are sold.
Co-organiser Peta-Maree Moy said a few of the calendar’s participants were happy to soak in their newfound fame at the launch night.
“Some of our models were a bit shy or unavailable on the night, but some were happy to stand up and be acknowledged as well,” she said. “It was quite entertaining. “There were plenty of cheers and laughs going on.
“We have sold two-thirds already so if we need to order more, we will.”
It was a first for photographer Elly Lukale as well, who volunteered her services to take the pictures.
“I wasn’t expecting to be asked to do it and had to think for a bit first, but I figured it would be fun,” she said.
“The footy and golf guys were the most fun to work with because they all knew and were comfortable around each other.
“A lot of the models were a bit hesitant at first, but once we get out and set up, everyone relaxed.”
Ms Lukale said she would be happy to shoot a similar calendar again next year.
