Temperatures fuel problems at Dampier bowser
Dampier’s unleaded petrol woes will continue indefinitely as its corporate owner continues to scratch its head over problems with the fuel bowsers.
The small town has been without unleaded fuel at the Coles Express Service Station for more than a month.
Viva Energy Australia, which has owned 640 Shell-branded Coles Express service stations since last year, believes the issue could be to do with high ambient temperatures affecting their systems.
A Viva spokeswoman said after intermittent outages, sales had been suspended while the situation was fully investigated.
“This is a unique situation limited to the Dampier site and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused Coles Express customers,” she said.
