■ A Karratha local is one Triumph motorbike richer after winning the Karratha Bikers Association’s raffle draw.

Sean Walsh said he was “stoked” having won himself a limited edition 2015 Triumph Thunderbird Nightstorm.

“I just have a dirt bike and ride out on the back trails, so I guess I will have to do a bit of road riding now,” he said.

“This is the first thing I’ve won — it’s a damn fine way to start.

“The raffle is a credit to these guys really, they do all the work selling tickets.”

Mr Walsh said the KBA guys were “top blokes”.

KBA president Matt Peters said more than $15,000 had been raised by the raffle, making this a bumper year for the club.

“Our annual fundraising for the year is around $25,000,” he said.

“We average about $10,000 … this raffle has made a big difference.”

Tequiras netball, teeball, soccer, Saints bootcamp, gymnastics and Peak1 boxing were the clubs to benefit from the raffle fundraiser.
