Men face court over al­leged White Rib­bon Day as­sault

■ A Kar­ratha man suf­fered a bro­ken jaw af­ter he was al­legedly beaten in his fam­ily home on White Rib­bon Day by four men and his part­ner over a do­mes­tic is­sue.

De­tec­tive Se­nior Sergeant Jon Mun­day said the 21-year-old man was in his house in Nickol on the evening on Novem­ber 25 when four men and his part­ner came in and al­legedly as­saulted him.

He was flown to Perth the next morn­ing for med­i­cal treat­ment.

Po­lice ar­rested 21-year-old Tris­tan Par­remore and 23-year-old Wil­liam Burke in con­nec­tion to the as­sault and both ap­peared in Kar­ratha Mag­is­trate’s Court on De­cem­ber 1. The two men were bailed on charges of ag­gra­vated as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing bod­ily harm, and are due to ap­pear in court on Jan­uary 12.

The vic­tim’s 21-year-old fe­male part­ner will ap­pear in court at a later date. Po­lice are still look­ing to speak with two other men about the in­ci­dent.

In an un­re­lated in­ci­dent, a patched mem­ber of the Rebels mo­tor­cy­cle gang was also bailed on De­cem­ber 1 for an al­leged as­sault.

Joshua “Crayons” Finch, 23, faces charges of ag­gra­vated as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing bod­ily harm for an al­legedly un­pro­voked at­tack in the Kar­ratha Shop­ping Cen­tre car park on Novem­ber 20.
