Men face court over alleged White Ribbon Day assault
■ A Karratha man suffered a broken jaw after he was allegedly beaten in his family home on White Ribbon Day by four men and his partner over a domestic issue.
Detective Senior Sergeant Jon Munday said the 21-year-old man was in his house in Nickol on the evening on November 25 when four men and his partner came in and allegedly assaulted him.
He was flown to Perth the next morning for medical treatment.
Police arrested 21-year-old Tristan Parremore and 23-year-old William Burke in connection to the assault and both appeared in Karratha Magistrate’s Court on December 1. The two men were bailed on charges of aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm, and are due to appear in court on January 12.
The victim’s 21-year-old female partner will appear in court at a later date. Police are still looking to speak with two other men about the incident.
In an unrelated incident, a patched member of the Rebels motorcycle gang was also bailed on December 1 for an alleged assault.
Joshua “Crayons” Finch, 23, faces charges of aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm for an allegedly unprovoked attack in the Karratha Shopping Centre car park on November 20.
