Business After Hours
The last Karratha and Districts Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business After Hours event of the year proved to be full of surprises.
The crowd of about 150 local business people met to take advantage of their last chance to network before the Christmas break begins.
The night was broken into two parts, starting with Woodside Karratha Gas Plant asset manager Steve Trench surprising Smith Family Karratha on Woodside’s behalf with $1000 worth of toys and books for its Christmas appeal.
Another surprise for the guests was the presence of Woodside chief executive Paul Coleman and Fremantle Dockers footballer Matthew Pavlich.
Mr Coleman gave a speech about the resilience Pilbara people had shown over a year of difficult economic times, while Pavlich spoke about calling on resilience while playing with the Dockers.
The KDCCI gave out Christmas hampers to lucky guests before it was back to networking.
