Two men charged over shop break-ins

peo­ple have been ar­rested over two shop bur­glar­ies in Kar­ratha on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 13.

Thieves en­tered Kar­ratha’s 777 Phar­macy and Red Dot stores on Sun­day af­ter­noon where they en­tered pub­licly re­stricted ar­eas of each shop and al­legedly took mo- bile phones, keys, and cash. No drugs were stolen from the phar­macy.

Kar­ratha po­lice iden­ti­fied sev­eral sus­pects from CCTV footage of the shops. On Tues­day, De­cem­ber 15, its vol­ume crime unit in­ter­viewed and ar­rested one per­son. The man was charged with two counts of ag­gra­vated burTwo glary in a com­mer­cial place, three counts of steal­ing and one count of as­sault of a pub­lic of­fi­cer.

Po­lice ar­rested a sec­ond man last Thurs­day and have charged him with five counts of steal­ing, three counts of ag­gra­vated bur­glary and one count of steal­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle.
