Rio Tinto cleans up after train derails
Rio Tinto has cleaned up after one of its iron ore trains came off the tracks near Tom Price last week.
A spokesman confirmed the incident involving a train carrying empty iron ore carts derailed last Tuesday afternoon.
“A number of empty ore cars derailed from the rail line in the incident,” he said.
“Rio Tinto confirms it has reopened the rail line.”
The spokesman said the rail line had returned to normal operations between the mines and ports.
No one was injured in the incident.
