Black spot round extended
There are still a few more days to nominate your area for better mobile coverage.
The nomination period for round two of the Federal Government’s national mobile black spot program has been extended to January 15.
The program is designed to boost coverage in regional areas with poor or no mobile phone coverage.
Nominated locations will go onto a national database before telecommunications companies go through a selection process to provide new or upgraded stations.
Member for Durack Melissa Price said the round two extension was a response to high demand and would allow people and community groups enough time to nominate after the holiday season.
You can make a nomination for round two at communications .gov.au/blackspots.
